Project Overview
The goal was to establish a fresh appearance and an e-commerce platform for their shift in business model. I collaborated closely with the client to craft a brand and website that aligned seamlessly with her approach to content writing.

Branding
The client sought to establish a fresh brand identity for her content writing and manuscript editing business, emphasizing her organic writing approach. She envisioned a logo that harmonized with elements dear to her – the ocean, the symbolic number 11, and post stamps.
Opting for a literal approach, I centered the design around the letter K, strategically chosen as the eleventh letter in the alphabet. Infused with a vintage twist, the K was incorporated into a circular stamp for a modern aesthetic. To reinforce the client’s connection to the number 11, subtle representations of elevens were seamlessly integrated within the contours of the K. The resulting logo not only encapsulates the essence of her writing style but also resonates with the personal elements that hold significance for the client.
Website Design
The objective of the website design was to reflect the client’s holistic writing approach, which embraces and brings forth the unique voices of each individual client.
Incorporating the client’s own imagery, the design features a vibrant website with ample space, symbolizing her affinity for the beach and the significance of the number eleven. The continued use of the post-stamp outline serves to maintain visual consistency, while strategically highlighting key sections such as services, blog, and upcoming events. The overall layout ensures a seamless user experience, making it effortlessly simple for visitors to connect with the client and initiate their writing journey.
Additionally, a “Subscribe to My Newsletter” section has been integrated into the footer to facilitate the client’s lead generation efforts, allowing her to cultivate a growing list for future marketing initiatives.
E-commerce
I undertook the task of establishing an e-commerce store to facilitate the sale of the client’s services and manage event registrations.
To align with the client’s unique pricing model and seamlessly integrate with her POS system, I adopted a non-traditional approach in configuring the e-commerce setup. The services and events were conceptualized as traditional products, featuring clear product names, pricing details, and comprehensive descriptions. However, the innovation lay in linking these products to either an onboarding form or her third-party POS system, catering to the specific requirements of each product. This unconventional approach ensured a streamlined and efficient process, enhancing the overall functionality of the e-commerce store.
Conclusion
This project was a delightful experience. The client actively collaborated, providing valuable insights into the desired look and feel of her site through examples aligned with her style. Armed with a clear vision, I leveraged my expertise to craft a website that not only resonates with her brand but also sets the stage for business growth. The focus was on creating an intuitive user experience, ensuring ease of navigation for visitors.
Challenges
The primary challenge in this project revolved around establishing an e-commerce system that seamlessly provided information to both users and the client. Initially, I set up a conventional WooCommerce store encompassing all services and events. However, upon further exploration, it became evident that this approach would not align optimally with the business needs and would introduce additional complexities.
In response to the client’s preference for a POS system that streamlines invoicing and credit card processing, I devised an alternative solution. Users are directed through a purposeful path that guides them to an onboarding form and seamlessly integrates with the chosen third-party POS for efficient processing. This tailored approach ensures a smooth and user-friendly experience while meeting the specific requirements of the client’s business model.
